Calcium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide

Calcium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide are, among such compounds, very important in several industrial applications. They each have their own properties and uses, and each is used for a separate purpose.

Calcium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide & aluminum sulfate and calcium hydroxide are a few examples of alkalis and both of them have many differences. Slaked lime, or calcium hydroxide, is a white powder insoluble in water to a significant degree. In addition, it is widely used as a pickling agent in the food and canning industries and as a pH balancer in agriculture. Sodium hydroxide, also known as caustic soda, is an inorganic strong base soluble in water. It is used in the production of paper, soaps, and water treatment.

The uses and applications of calcium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide in various industries

In the construction industry, it is part of the composition of mortar and plaster. It is utilized in cement to neutralize the acidic wastewater. Sodium hydroxide is used in the manufacture of a wide variety of chemicals, in the manufacture of textiles, and in the textile industry. It is used in petrochemical, as a process additive for oil refining, and in the food industry, for peeling fruits and vegetables.
